Looking to spice up your familiar recipes?
This is another variation for of what you can do with my Banana Bread Recipe. Try slicing a fresh pear ( I used boscolo so it would keep its shape) and add it to your loaf. I peeled the pear, and then cut some and added it to the mix just before putting it into the baking tin, and then placed the remainder across the top of the loaf as decoration.
As winter approaches it adds an extra juicy flavour and texture to this versatile recipe. I also made this loaf as a dairy free version, using oat milk in place of the fresh cows milk, and margarine for the butter and the texture is just as good. Just another suggestion to keep you experimenting in the kitchen.
