January has turned into February way too quickly around here. We’ve managed to fit so much in its a wonder that there has been any time to be in the kitchen at all. Lucky for me its somewhere that I love to be so any chance I get I still seek to have a few minutes to play.
This month in our kitchen we have a little liquid beauty from an easy to make recipe in the form of My Nan’s Lime Cordial. It’s delicious on ice as a refreshing drink with the warm weather we’ve been experiencing of late. The recipe is on it’s way.
In my kitchen I have a newly organised pantry with tubs holding my special flours, nuts and spices all together to give me easier access… it’s a work in progress but a huge improvement on my previous chaos.
In my kitchen is a much coveted and underloved cookbook by the name of The Complete Asian Cookbook by Charmaine Solomon which I am determined to explore as part of this month’s The Cookbook Guru. Look out for dumplings, curries and noodles coming up in February!
In our kitchen is some dumpling wrappers as we work on getting our heads around making handmade dumplings as part of my 2014 cooking hitlist. The first attempt were okay, but we know there is a long way to go to get the flavour the way we like them…
Finally in my kitchen is a few treats picked up in New Zealand for the other half on our holiday…

My neighbour was asking where to buy lime cordial the other day and we couldn’t think of one place to buy it here so as soon as you post the recipe I’ll let him know. Great minds think alike with organising the pantry 🙂
