Are you joining Novembers Cookbook Guru?

books

How did we get to half way through November already?  As my Mum loves to remind me, my birthday means there is 6 weeks until Christmas, not that I’m ready to be counting yet, but given we just passed that milestone we are on the downhill run! Eeeek!  I’m sure last time I looked in my diary it was about June.

Anyway I thought I’d send a little invite to you all to say please get involved in the Cookbook book club for November if you’re thinking about it.  If you’re looking for some inspiration, or can’t find the book then one place that is full of recipes that you can explore is through a lovely blog named Neil Cooks Grigson.  This blog is doing a challenge a la Julie & Julia by cooking his way through all of the recipes from English Food which is our book of the month.

If you have any questions about what to do, check out the details here, or leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Happy Cooking & Happy Eating

What stunningly ancient looking cookbooks! We have a few like that and they just seem more interesting every year, AND more obscure 🙂

Thank you. I was exploring my in law’s recipe book collection and there was some definite classics in the shelves. Many school or church collections from New Zealand that would be 60+ years old. An absolute joy to look through.

It’s on it’s way I promise – and I found my way to Neil cooks Grigson too for my recipe.
